Senior Applications Support Analyst
Location: Bridgend, South Glamorgan, United Kingdom
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Although this is not a shift based role, you will be required to part of an on-call rota as our healthcare clients need 24x7 support. You will be required to provide out-of-hours support across a range of applications. Training will be provided on these. You will be required to run various agreed business processes and jobs, and will provide proactive system monitoring as well as checking with the follow through of remedial actions.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
The ideal person for this must have strong problem solving and analytical skills. You will have proven application support skills with the ability to investigate problems and support junior team members when required. You will be proactive, and must have excellent customer facing skills. It is essential that you are able to liaise professionally with clients and other parties, and understand their issues.
From a technical standpoint you must have:
- Good knowledge of SQL and should have the ability to pick up new applications quickly.
- Experience of using Remedy or similar IT Service Management tools is important too.
- ITIL experience is desirable but is not essential.
- Healthcare sector experience is not essential, but is a nice to have.
You must also be willing and able to join a 24x7 standby rota to provide out of hours support.
