Application Support (Insurance, JAVA, XML, SOAP, Oracle SQL) - £50k/£56k p.a. + Benefits – Croydon based
Join a small team of Application Support Engineers who work closely with the App Development team to own Guidewire PolicyCenter & BillingCenter products for a large insurance company within their Home & Motor insurance area.
About the team:
Application Support team is a mix of Croydon based perms and an offshore team (India), due to an internal promotion the team are looking to bring in an experienced ‘code level' application support engineer ASAP.
This is a Level 2 and 3 Application Support Role – covering fixes and systems enhancements to products sat on tailored Guidewire Insurance Applications (PolicyCenter & BillingCenter).
* Experience of Guidewire development or support in Gosu (JVM language) would be a huge plus point but not a mandatory requirement for this role.
* Candidates DO need to have an application development or application support background in Java, Soap, XML and Oracle SQL (for extraction)
* Candidates should ‘ideally' have a background in either Insurance & Banking.
* Experience with monitoring tools: Splunk and Dynatrace would be nice
Some out of hours work is required to support releases / breakdowns – The team work "on call" once every 4 weeks (4 people in the team and will go to 5 weeks once the new hire joins), this is on a standard overnight rate plus an overtime rate if called out.
