Click Recruiting have an exciting hybrid opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer to join our clients team in Dursley on a permanent basis. This role would ideally consist of 2 days on site and 3 days WFH.
- You would be required to closely monitor the advancing technologies and entrants to the market place including contractors and suppliers.
- You will hold a keen interest in the technical application of storage, smart-grid, peak-capping and demand response and have a clear vision of the multiple applications into these markets, from utility level Frequency Response, I&C integration of embedded generation and peak-cropping, to multiple aggregated technology that would enable micro-grid and smart grid applications with the ability to deliver such projects going forward.
- You must have the ability to work with CAD or similar to create initial layouts, SLD’s (Single Line Diagram) and construction drawings for commercial solar and battery projects, small and large scale.
- Produce and issue Electrical design submissions to IDNO,DNO for their approval for renewable projects. Also attend weekly progress meetings with client, IDNO, DNO for renewable projects and input to project program progress for deliverables.
- The individual will have strong interpersonal skills and be comfortable with national and occasionally international travel.
- The Candidate will be enthusiastic about clean technology and keen to join a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Detailed knowledge of project management and experience in the delivery of infrastructure projects including Solar PV (Ground-mount and rooftop), storage (ESS and PCS) at residential commercial and utility scale.
- Responsibility to ensure all Health and Safety requirements and obligations are maintained and achieved in respect of design.
